Chicago Bulls center Tristan Thompson has been fined $20,000 for "directing profane language at a game official" during Thursday's 126-109 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, the NBA announced Saturday.

Thompson received two technical fouls, and thus was ejected from said game, with 21.2 seconds to play. He played 15 minutes in the contest, scoring four points and pulling down four rebounds.

Thompson has appeared in 14 games for the Bulls (two starts) since signing with them in February.
