Drake has struck the area again this week as they landed a second commitment in West Chicago senior guard Tai Bibbs.

The 6-foot-1 Bibbs becomes the second player to join the Bulldogs from the area this week after Joliet West senior guard Teyvion Kirk committed on Wednesday night. Bibbs gives Drake a combo guard who can score and handle, and coupled with Kirk, should give the Bulldogs a nice boost of talent in the Class of 2017.

"Coach Giacoletti and his staff have been talking to me for a while and after talking with Teyvion Kirk after he committed, Coach Giacoletti explained his vision to me: 'Me and Teyvion Kirk side-by-side in the MVC,'" Bibbs said. "After hearing this I thought about it talked with my family and then I just felt it that this was where I needed to be."

Bibbs led West Chicago to its first boys basketball conference title in the school's 113-year exsistence while averaging 16.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.8 steals per game as a junior. Recognized as all-conference in the Upstate Eight Conference Valley Division, Bibbs also was MVP at the West Chicago Thanksgiving tounament and all-tournament at the DeKalb Holiday Tournament.

With the help of Bibbs, West Chicago was in and out of the CSN Preps Power Rankings last season and they'll have big chance to make it in there again this season if Bibbs has a strong senior campaign.
