What scouts are saying:

"Smart player who understands his role and responsibilities on each play. Gets upfield and sets edge and proper angle to funnel runs back inside. Plays with desired leverage and arm extension as 3-4 outside linebacker. High-effort player. Runs well to the ball and has willingness to chase and pursue with secondary motor." — Lance Zierlein, NFL.com

"When level of competition stepped up, he seemed to disappear and failed to flash on tape. Slow to squeeze down the line against run, opening back-side running lanes. Absorbs the contact against iso blocks and pull blockers rather than delivering a blow to close the running lane. Missed first three games of 2014 season due to foot injury. Unable to turn corner as pass rusher and lacks pass-rush skill necessary for the position." — Lance Zierlein, NFL.com

"Average size and athleticism with no physical or explosive traits showing up on tape to hang his hat on." — Lance Zierlein, NFL.com

Fit for the Bears:

The Bears have struggled at the linebacker position in each of the past two seasons, and the departure of Lance Briggs leaves a big hole. General manager Ryan Pace has addressed the position this offseason with the additions of Mason Foster and Pernell McPhee, though there could be more done in the draft. Analysts don't believe Cudjoe-Virgil will be selected in the seven rounds of the draft, so if the Bears want him for the sake of depth, they might be able to pick him up after the draft.
