Avisail Garcia won’t start a fourth straight game on Wednesday afternoon.
The White Sox rookie’s wife gave birth to the couple’s first child on Monday morning. Garcia didn’t return to the White Sox on Tuesday night and could rejoin the club on Wednesday, manager Robin Ventura said.
Players are given three days off when a child is born and with the White Sox far out of contention, there is no urgency for Garcia’s return.
