The White Sox committed two more errors Thursday afternoon against the Twins in an eventual 8-4 loss, and their defensive miscues were made to look even worse by the Minnesota ballboy, Top 4While sitting down the left-field line in the top of the 4th, Alexei Ramirez hit a foul-ball rope toward the stands. The ballboy jumped up to snag it, falling off his stool in the process.
The over-aggressive ballboy had another chance in the bottom half of that inning to make his second highlight reel of the day, but he missed an easy bloop foul ball off the bat of Clete Thomas. It certainly looked liked the White Sox of late, who were in the field, but maybe there's more to the story with the ballboy giving preferential treatment to the home team.
Either way, given the degree of difficulty on the first grab, this guy gets a free pass for missing the easy one. If only White Sox fans were more forgiving about their group.
