KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Paul Konerko has been scratched from the White Sox lineup on Thursday night.
Konerko, who is hitting .241 with nine homers and 42 RBIs, had been scheduled to hit fifth and play first base. A team official said the White Sox would have more information after Thursday’s game gets underway.
Konerko returned to the team in late July after he missed almost a month with a lower back strain. It was only the third time in his career Konerko had been placed on the disabled list.
