After Saturday night's Trenton Thunder game, Alex Rodriguez faced the media. According to a report from USA Today, he did not want to talk about any of the rumors surrounding a suspension, and instead, just made it clear that he would be traveling to Chicago for Monday's game against the White Sox.
But when it comes to his family, Rodriguez says he'll deal with those matters when he has the right opportunity.
"I plan to sit my girls down, with Cynthia (his ex-wife), and we're going to have a lengthy conversation," said Rodriguez about a family meeting that he plans to have in the near future. "I'll have an opportunity to tell it all at some point. When the time is right, I'll tell my full story."
USA Today also reported that a follow-up question was asked about whether the full story would be told to just his family, or the public, too. Rodriguez exited the press conference without answering any further questions.
Major League Baseball announced this afternoon that Alex Rodriguez has been suspended through the 2014 season. However, the suspension will not begin until Aug. 8, meaning he'll take part in the upcoming White Sox-Yankees series.
