Scott Carroll is probably still on Cloud 9, and White Sox slugger Adam Dunn is a big reason why.

Carroll has had quite the ride lately. The Sox 29-year-old rookie made his MLB debut Sunday after seven years in the minor leagues, tossing 7.1 stellar innings, allowing just one earned run in the win over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Thirty-six members of Carroll's family made the trek from Missouri to U.S. Cellular Field to witness his first MLB start.

After the game, Carroll asked veteran Adam Dunn where he and his family could go to celebrate Sunday night, and instead of providing recommendations, Dunn did one better.

Dunn set Carroll and his family up at Timothy O'Toole's and paid the tab in full, dropping several thousand dollars to help make it a special day for the former third-round draft pick.

Dunn is making $15 million this season and has earned more than $112 million in his career, so a few thousand won't break his bank. But it's a nice gesture nonetheless.
