Adam Eaton's shoulder has recovered well after October surgery

Other than additional work to play catch up, Adam Eaton said he has recovered nicely from his October shoulder surgery.

The White Sox leadoff man said he has participated in a normal work schedule this offseason and doesn’t think his left shoulder would be an issue when spring training starts next month. Eaton had arthroscopic surgery shortly after the season ended, the result of an injury he suffered when diving in July.

“Shoulder has been well,” Eaton said Friday from SoxFest at the Hilton Chicago. “We’re looking forward to the beginning of the season and we’ll be ready.”

Despite the injury, Eaton produced a .287/.361/.431 slash line with 14 home runs in 689 plate appearances in 2015.

The only bother has been some fatigue and a loss of muscle mass, Eaton said. But the remedy doesn’t concern Eaton, who is headed into his third full season with the White Sox.

“The extra work you’ve got to put in to make sure to last the season, we’re not to worried about it,” Eaton said.
