Brian Omogrosso returns to White Sox on minor league deal

Brian Omogrosso agreed to terms with the White Sox on a minor-league contract Tuesday.

Omogrosso appeared in 12 games for the White Sox last season, posting a 9.37 ERA. The right-hander also pitched in 10 games at Triple-A Charlotte before his season was cut short by an elbow injury.

Doctors removed loose bodies and shaved down a bone spur in Omogrosso's right elbow when they performed season-ending surgery on Aug. 6.

Omogrosso had a 2.57 ERA in 21 innings in 2012.
