If White Sox fans thought it would be easier with Prince Fielder out of Detroit, they could be greatly mistaken. It may actually be even more difficult to gain ground on the best team in the Central Division in 2014, as the Detroit Tigers have signed closer Joe Nathan.
Nathan signed a two-deal according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.
Nathan has played in 13 Major League seasons, seven of which were with the Minnesota Twins.
Nathan, 39, saved 43 games in 46 chances with a 1.39 ERA in 65 innings for the Texas Rangers last season.
