GLENDALE, Ariz. — Looks like Matt Davidson wasn’t kidding when he said he wouldn’t stress over a slow start at the plate.
The White Sox rookie has rebounded nicely after some early struggles and has started to put together a solid spring. After he had only two hits in his first 18 at-bats, Davidson is 8-for-17 with a pair of home runs and six RBIs.

Davidson is hitting .286 and has drawn two walks and struck out seven times in 37 plate appearances.
“He’s really staying through the strike zone,” White Sox manager Robin Ventura said. “He’s eliminating chasing pitches and going out of the zone. You’re trying to get people in the zone in counts that are good hitters’ counts. He’s not chasing anything.”
