Scouting reports:

"(Aiken) draws Cole Hamels comps for his polish and has a bigger body." (Baseball America)

"Aiken's heater now operates at 92-94 mph and reaches 97, and he has maintained the life on the pitch and his ability to command it. His curve has added more power and depth as well, and his circle changeup has become more deceptive." (MLB.com)

"He has a very easy, athletic delivery. He throws with from a 3/4 delivery and repeats it well. His arm angle doesn't work ideally for a curveball but it still is a great pitch." (Minor League Ball)

Fit for the White Sox at No. 3: The White Sox haven't selected a high school pitcher in the first round since 2001, but if Aiken slips past Houston and Miami and the White Sox front office thinks he's a better fit talent-wise and signability-wise than, say, N.C. State left-hander Carlos Rodon they'll jump at the opportunity to select him.

Fit for the Cubs at No. 4: High schoolers generally represent greater risk than college pitchers, though the Cubs want an infusion of pitching in their farm system and if Aiken falls to them, they may overlook his longer timeline to the majors in favor of his high ceiling.
