The White Sox made the biggest splash of the early baseball offseason in signing Cuban first baseman Jose Abreu, and according to a report from MLB.com there's a chance they're not done.
Scott Merkin and Gregor Chisholm wrote earlier today that the Toronto Blue Jays, who are in the market for a second baseman, are interested in acquiring Gordon Beckham.
In 103 games last season Beckham hit .267 with five home runs and 24 RBI's. He missed nearly two months of the season with a broken bone in his right hand and will be eligible for arbitration for the second time this offseason.
General manager Rick Hahn is in the midst of a roster overhaul, and parting ways with the 27-year-old Beckham could return some favorable prospects.
