Chris Sale made his first rehab start on Friday with Triple-A Charlotte, and he picked up right where he left off.
Sale, making the first of perhaps two starts as he recovers from a left flexor muscle strain, struck out 11 batters over four scoreless innings. He allowed one hit and walked two in a 68-pitch effort, throwing 43 strikes.
Sale previously threw a 60-pitch bullpen session last Saturday. Until Thursday's game, he was expected to possibly rejoin the White Sox on May 25.
