NEW YORK -- A series sweep at the hands of the Boston Red Sox has the White Sox back in the lead for the third pick in next June’s amateur draft.

The Houston Astros and Miami Marlins have considerable ground between themselves and the rest of the field and would appear to be a lock for the top two picks.

Houston trails the White Sox by 11 1/2 games and Miami is six games back with 27 to play.
