Sox pitcher John Danks marries Pistol Annies' Ashley Monroe

White Sox pitcher John Danks and country singer Ashley Monroe of the Pistol Annies officially tied the knot Thursday night, according to People.

The couple's ceremony took place at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tenn. — roughly 40 minutes from where Monroe grew up — with a scenic view of the Smoky Mountains in the background during sunset.

The wedding was officiated by country music star Blake Shelton, while his wife Miranda Lambert, coordinated the wedding and stood as the bride's maid of honor.

Danks, 28, and Monroe, 27, began dating in 2011, when the two were introduced to each other by a mutual friend, and became engaged on Sept. 12, 2012

Monroe tweeted a picture of the wedding ring along with a caption that reads, "I'm MARRIED!!! whoohoo."
