Jim Thome registered 612 home runs throughout his 22-year MLB career, which ranks 7th on the all-time list. And there's a reason he became a hitter, not a pitcher.
Thome — who's now a special assistant to White Sox general manager Rick Hahn — tossed out the first pitch Friday for the Charlotte Knights — the White Sox Class-AAA affiliate — on their Opening Day and it didn't go too well.
It was ... juuuust a bit outside.
