White Sox outfielder Avisail Garcia is day-to-day after he was removed from a minor league rehab game Sunday with a bruised left triceps.
Garcia was hurt in his second at-bat when Gwinnett Braves righty and former White Sox farmhand Kanekoa Texeira hit him with a pitch. He struck out in his first at-bat and exited the game with five hits in 10 at-bats since beginning his rehab assignment Friday night.
The 23-year-old Garcia underwent shoulder surgery in April that initially was believed to be season-ending. He only played in eight games with the White Sox before tearing his labrum diving for a fly ball in Colorado April 9.
