TORONTO — Avisail Garcia’s bothersome right knee quickly forced him out of action on Monday night.

Eight days after he initially hurt himself, the White Sox outfielder left the first contest of an 11-game road trip in the bottom of the second inning. He’s listed as day-to-day with inflammation of his right knee.

Garcia, who sat out Friday and Saturday’s for the same reason, hobbled around the bases after a one-out single in the top of the second inning. He was removed and replaced by J.B. Shuck when the White Sox returned to the field.

An early MRI indicated Garcia has no structural damage in the knee, which he hurt sometime during a May 17 win over the Oakland A’s. Garcia entered Monday’s contest with a .322/.361/.452 slash line, four home runs and 18 RBIs in 38 games.
