Carlos Rodon (LHP), North Carolina State

Selected: first-tound (3rd overall) by the White Sox

6'3" | 234 lbs

2014 stats (may be incomplete): 14 GS, 98.2 IP, 2.01 ERA, 84 H, 31 BB, 117 K, 2 HR

Scouting report:

"Even when he’s not at his best, Rodon shows scouts a fastball/slider combination that could fit in a big league bullpen now." (Baseball America)

"His delivery does have some effort but his arm action works well and allows him to really get bite on his slider. It should also allow his change to improve as he throws it." (Minor League Ball)

"There's a reason Rodon is regarded as the best college lefty since David Price. Stuff-wise, he offers two plus pitches (and his changeup will be plenty good enough to give him three), all coming from a big, strong, workhorse-type body." (MLB.com)
