White Sox first-rounder Carlos Rodon allowed a run in one inning during his professional debut on Tuesday night.
The team’s top prospect had a strikeout and allowed a run and two hits in one inning in an Arizona Rookie League game. One report said Rodon, drafted third overall and 11 days removed from signing a franchise-record $6.582-million signing bonus, hit 96 mph on the radar gun.

Rodon is expected to make at least two appearances for the Arizona White Sox before July 28, when the team plans to promote him to Single-A Winston-Salem.
