The White Sox received some good news on Jose Abreu's injured ankle Monday.
Further evaluation revealed only inflammation for Abreu and no structural damage to the ankle. The star rookie will be evaluated again on the White Sox homestand.
The team remains hopeful Abreu will return to the lineup when eligible, but will be cautious with their slugger.
The Abreu injury came on the heels of good news regarding Adam Eaton - who joined the White Sox lineup Sunday for the first time since his DL trip - and Chris Sale looking sharp in his first rehab start Friday.
