White Sox Road Ahead: How can they turn it around?

Share

The White Sox haven't been off to a good start this season, sitting in last place in the AL Central heading into this week's series with the Houston Astros. CSN's Kip Lewis and Dan Hayes talk about whether or not the South Siders can turn things around in the White Sox Road Ahead, sponsored by Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Honda Dealers.

It hasn't been a good season so far for the White Sox, who for the second time in the past two and a half weeks have a date with the Astros, who own the best record in the American League.

While the South Siders send quality pitchers to the hill to take on the Astros, the key could be the White Sox bats finally coming to life.

"The effort is definitely there, but results are not," Hayes said. "Obviously this is a White Sox team that has struggled because of that. You're looking at a group that in more than half of its games has scored three runs or fewer.

"It's not like we're looking at one guy, we're looking at five or six guys who are producing below league average, below their track records. There's some belief within that front office, within that coaching staff that this team still has time to turn it around. They're going to need to do it quickly, though."
