The White Sox head into this upcoming week on a high note after Chris Sale's strong outing in a 5-1 win over the Royals, and now Bill Melton and Chuck Garfien are getting you ready with today's White Sox Road Ahead, presented by Chicagoland and NW Indiana Honda Dealers.

Fresh off a five-run outing against the Royals on Sunday, the White Sox bring their hot bats to Colorado to square off in a three-game set against the Rockies.

And as Chuck and Bill put it, that should mean more good things for the bottom of the Sox order, which has been surprisingly hot in the first week of the season. As Chuck pointed out, Alexei Ramirez is batting .455 and Tyler Flowers is an even .500 on the early year for the 3-3 White Sox.

"Well the bottom of the order really helps because we've got the pitcher hitting now, but in Colorado the ball, as you well know, travels really well," Bill said. "It's a good ballpark to hit in."

The pitcher batting also means no designated hitter, which could make things interesting for Robin Ventura and how he handles time at first base. Chuck and Bill said it's important to get Jose Abreu his at-bats, especially in a great hitter's ballpark, but that some time off wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to allow Adam Dunn and Paul Konerko time in the lineup.

"You want (Abreu) in there as much as possible, but this is a new league for him, his first year in Major League Baseball," Bill said. "Doesn't hurt to give him a little bit of a breather."
