White Sox

Adam Dunn's tenure on the South Side came to an end Sunday, when the White Sox traded him to the A's, freeing up space for young players and giving Dunn a chance to reach his first postseason.
Adam Dunn will miss the White Sox. But at the same time, he knows he has an opportunity he couldn't have passed up: reaching the playoffs for the first time in his 14-year career.
Former White Sox slugger Adam Dunn told reporters that this will probably be his final season in Major League Baseball while discussing his trade to the Oakland A's on Sunday.

Charlie Haeger was one of a few young knuckleballers last decade who looked like they could take the reigns on that pitch from Tim Wakefield. But Haeger flamed out, and now with Wakefield retired, the future of that pitch is uncertain.

More than anyone else, Adam Dunn needs to have a good spring at the plate. A baseline of success in a White Sox uniform -- which he hasn't really had -- could help springboard Dunn to a rebound season.
