White Sox

Tune in to Comcast SportsNet tonight for a Chicago baseball doubleheader. First up, Jose Abreu and the White Sox against the Tigers at 6 p.m. and then Cubs-Rockies kicks off at 7 p.m.
Jose Quintana finally got the run support he needed thanks to a massive seventh inning from the White Sox offense in a 11-4 win over the Tigers.
With the trade deadline approaching, the White Sox front office has been relatively quiet about dealing potential veterans like John Danks.

Jordan Danks sent the White Sox home with a win, belting a two-out walk-off home run -- the first homer of his career -- off Oakland's Pat Neshek Friday night at U.S. Cellular Field.

On Aug. 10, 2009, the White Sox were awarded the waiver claim for Alex Rios, who was transferred to Chicago from Toronto and is succeeding after a few up-and-down years with the Sox.

With Paul Konerko still feeling symptoms of a mild concussion suffered Tuesday, the White Sox placed the first baseman on the seven-day disabled list and will make a corresponding roster move Saturday.

In 2006, the White Sox traded Brandon McCarthy to Texas in one of the most lopsided trades of the Kenny Williams era. Tonight, McCarthy makes his first start at U.S. Cellular Field 7:00 p.m, CSN since the deal.
