In case you missed what happened in the sports world last week, Tom Cooper is here to remind you of what you missed.

It started with Rex Ryan's rant against a New York Jets beat writer who wanted to know why the team still hadn't announced a starting quarterback. In Ryan's defense, Mark Sanchez and Geno Smith have been equally bad in the preseason so it's been tough to determine who has stunk up the joint less.

AJ Pierzynski made his return to U.S. Cellular Field for the first time since joining the Rangers, and Michael Barrett was there to greet him with a right hook.

And Andrew Shaw's stitches, which held his face together in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final, sold for $6,500 on eBay. No, seriously.
