Oliver Purnell continued to build his 2013 recruiting class through the junior college ranks as he received a verbal commitment from power forward Greg Sequele yesterday, as reported by Scout.com's Brian Snow.
The 6-foot-8 power forward visited DePaul's campus last weekend, and will have two years of eligibility when he arrives next fall. He chose the Blue Demons over Kansas State and Southern California.
Sequele committed to Washington State in November 2010, but never made it to campus after failing to qualify academically. He transferred to the College of Southern Idaho for his freshman season, where he averaged 2.9 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. The Southern California native transferred back home to Citrus Community College for this season.
He went to Ribet Academy in Los Angeles, the same school former DePaul big Krys Faber attended.
Sequele joins Forrest Robinson, a junior college sophomore who committed to DePaul two weeks ago, and four-star point guard Billy Garrett Jr. in Purnell's 2013 recruiting class.
