Bears QB Jay Cutler's wife Kristin Cavallari: ‘Chicago's just not home'

When Jay Cutler's time with the Bears comes to an end, his wife, Kristin Cavallari, is eyeing to live full time in Nashville. The couple has two kids — with its third on the way — and Cavallari is hoping to permanently move somewhere they can both call home, because Chicago isn't quite cutting it.

"Jay hates L.A.," Cavallari said in an interview with Elle magazine. "And Chicago's just not home."

Cutler and Cavallari married in 2013, and have a home in the Nashville area, where Cutler played four years of college football at Vanderbilt University.

Cavallari, who grew up in Barrington, admits it's been "refreshing" to step out of the public eye in Chicago, but was "scared" to move initially because she didn't entirely have a firm grasp on her career yet.

"I sort of have stepped out of the public eye and it's actually been really refreshing," Cavallari said. "I was a little nervous at first, to be honest, just because I didn't … it's sort of always been ingrained in me that if you want to be in the entertainment business, you either have to be in L.A. or New York. And so when I married Jay, I officially moved to Chicago.

"I was a little scared. I didn't really know exactly what I wanted to do with my career, but everything has sort of fallen into place with the shoes, especially, the jewelry, and now this book."

The Bears starting quarterback signed a seven-year, $126 million contract extension at the beginning of the 2014 season.
