J’Marcus Webb, tackle
This appears to be the end of Webb's decline and fall after 44 straight starts with Bears.
Edwin Williams, center/guard
Williams received a contract extension in 2011, but lost his left guard job last season.
Jordan Palmer, quarterback
A quality performance in Thursday's preseason finale vs. Cleveland keeps the door open for Palmer.
Trent Edwards, quarterback
The former Bills starter showed vs. the Browns that he can contribute.
Brandon Hardin, safety
A former third-round draft pick, he missed the past two seasons with injuries. Could he end up on the practice squad?
Tom Nelson, safety
It was a strong finish to the preseason for Nelson, who was on his third NFL team
Jerry Franklin, linebacker
Franklin was not able to edge ahead of rookies or the Bears' other depth at linebacker.
Brittan Golden, wide receiver
After going through two camps with the Bears, he was too undersized at 5-foot-11 and not a returner.
Josh Lenz, wide receiver
Lenz was given a shot returning punts. His best shot is as a member of a practice squad elsewhere.
Fendi Onobun, tight end
Onobum made too many major mistakes to offset his potential.
Armando Allen, running back
Fellow running back Michael Ford offered more potential in kickoff-return game.
Harvey Unga, running back
Despite being given many chances, there just was not enough production.
Aston Whiteside, defensive end
Whiteside is described as a "tweener," having played both defensive end and defensive tackle. He has a lot of potential.
Josh Williams, defensive end
Fellow defensive ends Cornelius Washington and Cheta Ozougwu proved to have better upsides for the Bears.
Christian Tupou, defensive tackle
Though Tupou showed spurts of potential, he was unable to match the impact plays of Zach Minter.
Demontre Hurst, cornerback
Hurst had a solid camp and gained a preseason interception vs. Cleveland.
Brandon Hartson, long-snapper
Hartson was a good fill-in while Pat Mannelly mended. He's another good Rolodex guy.
Derek Dennis, guard
Dennis logged major minutes when he played the entire Cleveland game. He was with the Miami and New England camps last year.
Terrence Toliver, wide receiver
He caught six passes in the final preseason game against the Browns.
J.T. Thomas, linebacker
Thomas played in all 16 games for the Bears last season.
Corey Brandon, tackle
