The Bears opened up free agency with a splash that was eerily similar to 2013 when the club signed tight end Martellus Bennett and offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod.
General manager Phil Emery targeted Oakland Raiders defensive end Lamarr Houston and brought him into the fold just minutes after the signing period began. Shortly after, the team signed safety Ryan Mundy and special teams standout Jordan Senn, and re-signed middle linebacker D.J. Williams.
