Prediction Machine puts Bears' Super Bowl odds at less than 1 percent

With much hype and high expectations surrounding the Bears, this is not what the fanbase wanted to hear.

PredictionMachine.com, a website that runs through each game (in this case, each NFL game) in a generator and predicts the outcome, thinks the Bears will finish last in the NFC North and will win only 7.2 games. In addition, the generator puts the Bears' chances of winning the Super Bowl at less than 0.2 percent.

Paul Bessire from PredictionMachine.com joined the Kap and Haugh Show Thursday morning and explained how that could be possible, citing the lack of depth behind Jay Cutler and Matt Forte, among other reasons.

The Bears are returning every important player from last year's offensive squad that scored the second-most points in the NFL. On the other side of the ball, GM Phil Emery remodeled the entire defense and key players have returned to health. And all that on a team that finished 8-8 and one win away from the playoffs.
