Special-teams issues led to 10 Green Bay points and continue to be a source of concern.

Assignments were missed and Adam Podlesh had his first punt blocked, the first against the Bears since a Brad Maynard punt was blocked in 2006. This one set up a Green Bay touchdown on a 32-yard run by James Starks that put the Bears down 10-7 in the first quarter.

Blake Costanzo mishandled and the Bears failed to recover an onside kick after the Packers’ tying touchdown in the third quarter. The defense was able to hold Green Bay to a field goal for what turned out to be the Bears’ winning margin.

Devin Hester was able to return four kickoffs an average of 22.5 yards and one punt for 23 yards that gave the offense field position at the Green Bay 47, from where the Bears scored to take the lead for good. Robbie Gould converted field goals from 24 and 27 yards, the latter with 50 seconds to play.
