San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick wants Jay Cutler money.
According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Kaepernick is seeking a contract worth more than $18.2 annually. That number would put him on par with the contracts that were handed out to Cutler and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo the past two years.
In two seasons as the starting quarterback of the 49ers, Kaepernick has led his team to losses in both the Super Bowl and the NFC Championship. In eight NFL seasons Cutler has just one postseason victory under his belt.
On Tuesday's edition of SportsTalk Live, the panel debated which NFL quarterback they would rather have.
"I think Cutler has a better arm," Sun-Times Bears beat writer Adam Jahns said. "When you look at Kaepernick there's such a small sample size of what he's doing. He's an electric player, you would probably say Kaepernick because he could run. He's got all those different types of intangibles, but he couldn't beat the Seahawks in the Championship game. He made some very questionable throws that Cutler gets ripped for all the time. I'll lean towards Cutler right now, but maybe it's because I have to answer to Cutler right now."
If you were starting an NFL franchise which player would you take?
