The Chicago Blackhawks agreed to terms with defenseman Ryan Stanton on a one-year deal, the team announced Tuesday afternoon.
The 23-year-old Stanton played in one Blackhawks game last season, the team’s regular-season finale in St. Louis. Stanton had a career-high 22 assists and 25 points in 73 games with the Rockford IceHogs last season. He also recorded a plus-16 rating, a career best and good for third on the team.
Stanton was originally signed by the Blackhawks as a free agent in March of 2010.
