Fans might only see the players on the ice and the coaches on the bench, but there are more Stanley Cup champions than just those with playoff beards and patented Q-staches.
Several prominent members of the Blackhawks' front office -- owner Rocky Wirtz, president John McDonough and general manager Stan Bowman -- reacted to the franchise's second Stanley Cup win in four seasons after the frenetic finish to Game 6 in Boston.
"There's nothing like a win," Wirtz said. "That winner's circle is really large, and god it feels good to be in it."
McDonough took time to reference the team's several bouts of adversity during a postseason that included a 3-1 deficit in a series against Detroit and a grim 2-1 deficit in the Stanley Cup Final.
"This is a team that played their absolute best when their backs were to the wall," McDonough said.
