Little did Bryan Bickell and wife Amanda know a 5-week-old Pit Bull puppy would change their lives forever.
The Bickells came across Bailey, who had her tail cut off with scissors, and offered the owner $50 for the puppy. They nurtured her in their hometown of Ontario, Canada and now had a dog to call their own.
Pit Bulls bans were everywhere in Ontario and when in Chicago, they heard the city was thinking of banning Pit Bulls.

Wanting to raise awareness, the Bickells created The Bryan and Amanda Bickell Foundation to help create positive awareness for Pit Bulls.
On Wednesday's SportsTalk Live, the Bickells brought Rookie along with them for her television debut.
Rookie is a 2-year-old brindle-and-white Pit Bull girl who was rescued along with her five puppies in July.
You can read more about her and the rest of the dogs available for adoption at the BickellFoundation.org.
