Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Avalanche dropped the Blackhawks to third in the Central Division standings, but tonight the defending champions will look to get back to their winning ways against the Nashville Predators.
With only 16 games left to go in the regular season, the Blackhawks are battling to work their way up the Western Conference standings and back to their second-place ranking in the Central Division; a ranking the Avalanche claimed in Wednesday's victory.
The Predators (28-28-10) are coming into tonight's game following back-to-back wins over the Senators and Sabres. But prior to those games, they dropped four straight at home.
Tonight marks the third meeting between these two teams; both the Blackhawks and Predators recorded a win in their two previous matchups. They will face off again before the end of the regular season on March 23 and April 12.
