The Blackhawks came out firing Sunday, tallying three goals in the first 20 minutes to put an end to the Kings' 18-game streak without allowing a first-period goal. Now they've hit the road and will face off against their Central Division foes in Nashville tonight.
The Predators (16-14-3) bounced back from a five-game losing streak by earning three straight wins; their most recent one coming against the Sharks on Saturday.
Former Blackhawk Carter Hutton was in net for all three of Nashville's recent victories and allowed just four goals in that span.
Coach Joel Quenneville said Sunday he didn't expect winger Bryan Bickell to play again until Friday's upcoming game against the Canucks as he continued to rehab a lower-body injury, but the Blackhawks activated him from Injured Reserve on Monday and reassigned Jeremy Morin to the AHL's Rockford IceHogs.
These two teams have faced off just one other time this season, and the Predators handed the Blackhawks quite the beating in their 7-2 win back on Nov. 16.
