Andrew Shaw did not skate on Friday and Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said again that he hopes the forward will hit the ice some time this weekend.
The Blackhawks are looking to get Shaw back at some point during this Western Conference Final series, which will begin at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday, be it here or in Anaheim. The Ducks and Los Angeles Kings play Game 7 tonight. If the Ducks win, they have home-ice advantage; if the Kings win, the Blackhawks will host Game 1 Sunday at the United Center.

While the Blackhawks once again await their opponent, they’re not sweating the wait. The Blackhawks had off-ice workouts on Friday after practicing on Thursday.
“It’s like a good time to take some days off and get your mind away from hockey and get yourself excited about what’s happening next," Quenneville said. "You don’t really have to prioritize your mindset with how you’re going to match up or who you’re going to play against or this or that. Once the series starts, it’s a big commitment. It’s kind of like the team to get refreshed.”
