A one-time Blackhawks goalie made all the highlight shows Thursday night.
Carter Hutton, now playing for the division-rival Predators, wowed the crowd with this highlight-reel save against the Flyers.
Hutton allowed three goals against the Flyers but got the win in a 4-3 victory for the Preds.
The 28-year-old was the Hawks' rarely used third-string goalie a season ago. He appeared in just one game, the season finale against the Blues, getting the loss in that game. But the stellar play of Corey Crawford and Ray Emery kept him firmly entrenched in Rockford.
Hutton left for Nashville during the offseason, and he's posted nine wins in 22 games, with a .902 save percentage and a 2.94 goals against average.
He did face off against his former team earlier this season, taking the loss in a 3-1 Hawks win on Dec. 17 in Nashville.
The Blackhawks' goalie depth has been tested this season with injuries to Crawford and Nikolai Khabibulin. It's pressed Antti Raanta into duty — and he's played well — but it's interesting to think what could have been had Hutton stuck around the organization.
