InGoal Magazine released photos of the masks of Chicago Blackhawks goaltending prospects Kent Simpson and Antti Raanta last week.

Raanta’s mask pays homage to his Finnish roots along with the team’s iconic logo.

Simpson’s mask pays tribute to the team’s first owner, Fredric McLaughlin, who named the team after his Infantry Division World War I which was named for Sauk nation leader, Black Hawk.

The Blackhawks signed Raanta during last season’s Stanley Cup championship run after he was sought out by several teams. He posted a .943 save percentage with the Ässät of the Finnish elite league.

Simpson joined the Rockford Ice Hogs after spending the previous season with the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League, where he posted a .883 save percentage.

The Blackhawks open their training camp Wednesday at the University of Notre Dame.
