“On the clock” moves from cliché to reality for the Bears sometime in the late evening Thursday, when they and their counterparts have precisely 10 minutes in which to make their selections in the first round of the draft.

Last year’s first round required 3 hours to complete even with eight trades in the round besides the pre-draft deal that resulted in Robert Griffin III going to Washington. Both NFL Network and ESPN will provide coverage.

Start times are: Thursday, Round 1, 7 p.m.
Friday, Rounds 2-3, 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, Rounds 4-7, 11 a.m.
