Steven Stamkos, Sidney Crosby and...Ray Emery?
The NHL named its three stars for the month of February Friday morning, with Emery coming in as the third star behind Stamkos and Crosby. The Blackhawks netminder went 7-0-0, had a 1.66 GAA and a .941 save percentage over eight games, including two scoreless periods against the Blues Thursday night in St. Louis.
With a condensed schedule and Corey Crawford missing time, the 30-year-old Emery has played in just under half the Blackhawks' games this season. He's currently on pace to set career bests in save percentage and goals against average.
Both Stamkos and Crosby posted over 20 points in the month of February, with Stamkos netting 10 goals and 10 assists while Crosby scored six goals with 18 assists.
