EDMONTON, Alberta – Ray Emery, who started tonight’s game against the Edmonton Oilers, left in the first period with a lower-body injury and will not return.

Emery, who was sidelined with a lower-body injury for about a week – that one was never specified, and this one wasn’t either -- was getting his first start tonight since April 15 against Dallas. But with 6:11 remaining in the first period he went to the locker room. He stopped seven of eight shots. Corey Crawford came in to relieve Emery.
