The Blackhawks play their second matchup of a six-game roadtrip tonight against the Canucks. Check out all the action on Comcast SportsNet Plus, beginning with Blackhawks Pregame Live at 8:30.
After earning their first 6-0-0 start in franchise history, the Blackhawks fell to the Wild in a shootout on Wednesday night. But the Hawks still have yet to exit the ice with at least one point under their belt in their first seven games.
Andrew Shaw and Jonathan Toews -- who also scored the Hawks' lone shootout goal -- each found the back on the net in Minnesota. Patrick Kane recorded his eighth assist of the season and now leads the Blackhawks with 10 points.
Another big test awaits tonight as the Blackhawks travel to Vancouver. The Canucks (3-2-2 ) enter tonight's game after earning two points against Colorado on Wednesday. Daniel Sedin and Alexander Edler top Vancouver's roster with six points apiece.
Roberto Luongo will get the start after serving as backup to Cory Schneider since last season's playoffs, when the eighth-seeded Kings ended the Canucks' postseason run. But Luongo proved in Wednesday's shutout victory he still has what it takes to get the job done. In the past he's caused some trouble for Chicago, posting a 2-0-1 record in the teams' previous three matchups.
But that's behind the Blackhawks now as they continue their tough 2013 battle and face their rivals to the north tonight.
