The Hawks are home after their six-game road trip and will host the Ducks tonight at the United Center. Catch all the action on Comcast SportsNet, beginning with Blackhawks Pregame Live at 7.

Back on Feb. 5, the Blackhawks visited the Sharks in one of their biggest matchups of the season, facing off against the No. 2 team in the league. Chicago went on to win the game 5-3 and handed San Jose its second regulation loss since the start of the 2013 season.

The Sharks have since dropped to fourth place in the Western Conference standings, and the Blackhawks -- who continue sit comfortably at the top of the league with a 10-0-2 record -- will face a similar situation tonight as they host the new No. 2 team in the West: the Anaheim Ducks.

After a rough 25th place finish in 2012, the Ducks have found their groove. With a quarter of the abbreviated season already in the books, Anaheim holds an 8-2-1 record.

The Ducks are led by 42-year-old veteran Teemu Selanne, who's earned 14 points in 11 games. Saku Koivu trails closely behind with four goals and nine assists.

Goaltenders Jonas Hiller and Viktor Fasth have each played in six games this season. But as of Sunday, Hiller -- who's recorded a .872 save percentage and won three of his six starts in net -- has been day-to-day with a lower body injury. He skated with his team this morning, but won't be between the pipes during tonight's matchup.

Instead the Blackhawks will face Fasth, who's had a surprisingly good start to the season. He's recorded a .932 save percentage and won all five games he's started this year, while earning his first shutout in the NHL.

The Blackhawks won't come out on top tonight without putting up a fight, but if they win tonight's matchup in regulation, they'll hold a seven-point lead over the Ducks in the Western Conference race.
