Former Chicago Bulls center Ben Wallace landed a spot in Henrico County jail Tuesday morning as he began a two-day sentence after leaving the scene of a February car crash.
Wallace entered a plea of no contest and received a one year jail sentence -- now of which the judge has suspended all but two days.
Last month, an SUV registered to Wallace slammed into a fence outside a home according to a report.
“It was dark, but it’s clear from here I saw one person trying to fight to get out of the car,” homeowner Silverio Acosta said in an interview last month.
Upon getting out of the car, Acosta said he witnessed the man throwing pieces of wood against the fence “because he was angry.”
Wallace played two seasons with the Bulls, 2006-2008.
