Quotable:

"It gives you confidence. It gives you confidence that you can play anywhere if you can play in the big time, in the lights, in a tournament as big as anything because the world watches. Getting that chip on your shoulder from having a good tournament, it gives you motivation and it fills you up for the next level."

Fit for the Bulls:

Young has proven himself one of the most potent scorers in college basketball in recent seasons. His efforts this past season, when he averaged more than 20 points per game, earned him Pac-12 Player of the Year honors. He averaged better than 18 points per contest in his sophomore and junior seasons, elevating that scoring ability even more as a senior. Young did more than just score, too, for the Ducks, upping his averages in most stat categories as his playing time grew to more than 36 minutes a night. And even though Oregon exited the NCAA tournament in the Round of 32, Young dazzled in two games, scoring 27 points in a win over Oklahoma State and 30 points in a loss to eventual national runner up Wisconsin. The Bulls are looking to add more to their offense under new head coach Fred Hoiberg, and Young certainly can provide it. Young's size is an issue, as he's only 6-foot-2, but he can get to the rack with the best of him, utilizing some incredible speed to do so, and he can knock down shots. If Aaron Brooks and Mike Dunleavy aren't going to be around and the Bulls need some reserve scoring at the guard position, they could do a lot worse than Young.
